The rise of aquaculture: Threat or savior for open ocean fisheries

That's pretty scary that 70 percent of aquaculture production comes out of China. Especially since 70-80 percent of their rivers are not save for consumption. These rivers flow right into ocean waters where harvesting is occuring. I had already reduced the amount of seafood I ate due to increased mercury levels. Not I don't want to eat any at all. Thanks

Yeah, I'm totally done with shrimp at least, for sure. I think that farm-raised herbivorous fish are good for you - actually farmed catfish and tilapia (from the US) should be really healthy.
