Sequestration of Atmospheric Carbon

The sequestration of carbon sounds like it would greatly benefit the environment especially reducing global warming. It appears that the expensive cost prevents it from being implemented. Being able to store the condensed carbon into the ground into oil fields and coal beds appears much better than going into the atmosphere and polluting the air. Apparently more research about this technology is being conducted, and hopefully it can be used more to slow down global warming.

Was it Richard Branson who offered a 20 million dollars to anyone that found a way to get CO2 out of the atmosphere. Maybe he can invest in the companies trying to sequester CO2. Any residual oil recovered can go toward his airline company :)
